She walked in beauty through the night

and held her face up to the light, never thinking at the time

No it never crossed her mind

Just 5 minutes in a stranger's bed ..just long enough her youth deceived

and left her with a mouth to feed

So much more to her skin so deep, so much more than a fading beauty

thought there was something better she had to do

like embarrassment makes beautiful the shade of rose

so with the vulnerability she exposed
